The Wild Boy

THE WILD BOY
The teacher read us the book called The Wild Boy.  It was sad because he had no family and no friends.  There was a doctor that cared for the boy.  The doctor called him Victor  and taught him how to play. When the boy’s room was messy he would clean it. When he goes to bed he covers his eyes. Then he looks out the window.

Well Done MH! I am going to go to the library and find The Wild Boy and read it as it sounds really interesting.

That sounds a really neat book. Do you think a Y5 class would enjoy it? I have to read to them on Friday!

I really love true stories or stories that are based on real people or events. It makes it more interesting. You can admire someones struggle and know it isn’t all made up but really did happen to someone.

It is therefore, amazing that ‘Wild Boy’ survived the jungle to live with others. He had to learn everything we do as infants and little children from scratch. What if he had not been found, how would he have survived?

All classes will learn much from this book. It is called The Wild Boy by Mordecai Gerstein. Hope you enjoy it.
